81-year-old Slashed The Tire Of A Woman At An Elementary School, Police Say He'd Been Stalking Her For Months

An 81-year-old man faces a stalking charge for harassing a woman he had been following for months outside a school, police said.

On April 4, police in Garden City, Kansas, responded to a report at an elementary school after someone slashed a tire in front of the school.

A woman arrived to drop off her child when a man, Richard Goldy, 81, approached her vehicle and used a pocketknife to puncture a tire, according to Garden City police. Goldy then yelled profanities at the woman while punching her windows.

Goldy left the area before officers arrived, according to police.

Authorities learned that Goldy had allegedly been stalking the woman for months, according to officials.

Police later found Goldy at his home and he was arrested. He was charged with stalking, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
