Suspect Allegedly Fired A Rifle Round Into An Apartment Floor. The Bullet Hit A Man In Bed Near An Infant.

A man is accused of shooting his AR-15 rifle into the floor of an apartment and killing a neighbor, according to reports.
Police in Lexington, Kentucky, recently announced the arrest of Keith Denton, 27, in connection to the killing of Kadage Byishmo.
Around 3:20 p.m. on July 20, police responded to a reported shooting and found Byishmo shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
Investigators said Denton was in his girlfriend’s apartment, above where Byishmo was lying in bed, according to WKYT. The victim’s infant was nearby in the bed.
Neighbors said they heard Denton on the phone and emotional before the shot was fired. Police said the suspect fired a shot from the rifle into the floor of his apartment. That bullet hit Byishmo.
Authorities aid Denton disposed of the gun after the shooting and went to a hotel, according to WKYT. Police said surveillance video helped them identify Denton as the suspect.
He now faces murder and other charges in connection to the shooting.
