A man in Kentucky is accused of holding a woman against her will and assaulting her, police said.
Last week, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky announced it arrested Hartman W. Godsey in connection to the case.
Around 2 p.m. on Oct. 8, deputies responded to a domestic call and found a woman who said she was assaulted by her boyfriend, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim said her boyfriend, Godsey, would not let her leave the residence.
She tried several times to leave, and every time she got the door open, the suspect grabbed her by the hair and pulled her inside, according to the sheriff’s office.
Eventually, the victim got out and ran to a neighbor’s home for help.
Godsey was charged with fourth-degree assault and first-degree inlawful imprisonment.
