Woman douses herself in gas after domestic dispute, Kentucky police say

A Kentucky woman assaulted a man during a domestic dispute, and when police arrived on scene, they found her dousing herself in gasoline, according to a report.
On July 30, officers responded to a call in Glasgow, Kentucky, in reference to a domestic complaint, the Glasgow Police Department said.
At the scene, police said they found the man who said he was assaulted by Vilma Matias.

Officers found Matias in the backyard of the residence and she was pouring gas on herself, according to authorities.
Police were able to deescalate the situation and Matias was arrested without further incident, officials said.
Officers said Matias refused any medical treatment.
Matias was charged with strangulation, fourth-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a minor, authorities said.
She is currently being held in the Barren County Detention Center, officials said.
