Mother accused of killing her three kids — all under 3 years old — in Los Angeles
A mother is accused of killing her three children — all under 3 years old — then fleeing from the scene.
Los Angeles police say they arrested Liliana Carrillo, 30, on April 10. While her specific charges have not been announced, she is the sole suspect in the children’s death.
Around 9:30 a.m. April 10, police responded to a residence on Reseda Boulevard for a possible death at an apartment, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. When officers arrived, they went inside the apartment and found the three children dead.
Police quickly asked for the public’s help finding Carrillo and then said she may have carjacked a driver in the Bakersfield area. The vehicle was a silver Toyota pickup.
Carrillo was arrested nearly 200 miles away in Tulare County, according to KTLA. Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said the suspect was found by someone who stopped to help her after a single-vehicle crash.
Police have not said how or why Carrillo allegedly killed the children.
The father of the children, Erik Denton, told the news station he shared custody of the children and they were Terry, 3, Joanna, 2, and Sierra, 6-months-old.
Friends and Family set up a GoFundMe page to support the father. They said the dad “lost all 3 of his children in the blink of an eye.”
“It is more than words to describe his loss and the help that Erik needs at this time,” the page reads.
