Woman Killed In Las Vegas Drive-By Shooting. Suspect Eluded Police In Chase, But His Freedom Ended Hours Later.

A woman was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas and now police said they have arrested a suspect.
Around 5 a.m. on Aug. 27, Las Vegas Metro police responded to a shooting on Melbourne Circle.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound, according to police. Crews tried to provide aid, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name has not been released.
Patrol units saw a possible suspect vehicle speeding away from the area, police said. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the suspect escaped the police chase.
No motive has been released in the shooting and police did not say if the victim was the intended target.
Later that same day, police arrested 23-year-old Hector Camacho in connection to the case. His arrest wasn’t announced until Aug. 29. He has been charged with open murder and felony evading.
