Las Vegas 'love triangle' sparked shooting death, cops say

A Las Vegas love triangle became a murderous affair, according to police.
Las Vegas Metro police responded to a shooting at a residence on Jaquita Avenue around 10 p.m. June 23.
Officers found a woman, later identified as 28-year-old Shamiya Todd, shouting on an upstairs balcony, according to metro police.
Todd was arrested after officers made their way into the residence and found a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to metro police.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A man was also inside of the house and detained.
The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the shooting was a result of a love triangle.
Todd was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of open murder.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, have not been released.
