Victim Found Dead Near Vegas Homeless Encampment, Suspect Arrested

A man was found dead at a Las Vegas homeless encampment and now a person has been arrested in connection to the case.
On Dec. 4, police in Las Vegas announced the arrest of Shawn Jackson in connection to the case, though few details have been released.
Around 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 3, police responded to an unresponsive man near a homeless encampment at the corner of Mountain Vista Street and Carol Circle, authorities said.
When they arrived, they found the victim dead. The name of the victim has not been released.
Investigators said the victim was in a fight with a fellow homeless man, Jackson.
There was no word on what the fight was over.
Jackson was arrested and charged with open murder. He was then booked into a Nevada jail.
