Las Vegas woman shoots, kills boyfriend during argument, cops say

A Las Vegas woman has been arrested after she allegedly shot and killed her boyfriend during an argument.
Around 10 p.m. on Dec. 19, Las Vegas police received a call that a person had been shot inside of an apartment in the 900 block of East Twain Avenue.
Officers responded and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation found that the victim had been in an argument with his girlfriend, Shanika Smith, 37. During the argument, cops say Smith pointed a firearm at the victim and shot him.
Two kids were inside the apartment when the incident occurred.
Smith was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Clark County Detention Center.
She has been charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and felony child abuse/neglect with a deadly weapon.
