Argument over a dog leads to deadly stabbing on Las Vegas strip: cops
A stabbing on Las Vegas’ most known street left one dead and one person facing a murder charge, police said.
Around 9:40 p.m. on March 26, Las Vegas Metro police responded to South Las Vegas Boulevard for a stabbing.
As officers arrived, they saw a man holding a knife, according to police. That person was later identified as Freddy Allen, 58. Allen tried to run from officers but was detained, according to police.
Officers found the victim, who was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The victim’s name has not been released.
Police said the victim and Allen were in an argument over a dog the night before.
The next day, Allen and the victim got into an argument, according to Las Vegas police. As words were exchanged, Allen stabbed the victim and tried to run away.
Allen was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where he was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon.
