A groom has been arrested after he allegedly shot two people on his wedding night in the middle of a Louisana highway.
Devin Jones, 30, was in the car with his bride and her male friend in LaPlace, Louisiana. They were among several cars stuck in traffic backup because of a crash, according to KCCI.
Jones allegedly suspected his bride and her friend were having an affair, and he began chasing the friend out of the car and firing shots at him, Sheriff Mike Tregre told KCCI.
According to the sheriff, one of the bullets hit the victim in the leg, and another broke through the rear window of another car and hit a different victim in the hand.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive, KCCI reported.
The sheriff told KCCI that the bride ran to an ambulance and told the crew she was scared of her husband.
Jones allegedly showed up soon after and started beating on the doors, KCCI reported.
Deputies caught up and arrested Jones.
Jones is facing several charges, including attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, according to KCCI.
