Man accused of sending explicit material on internet — to a police Facebook page
A Louisiana man faces charges after sending explicit images online — to a police agency’s social media page.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a series of sexually explicit private messages, videos and photos to its Facebook page on Nov. 19. The images came from a man, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators determined that Roy Sturgis, 28, sent the images and arrested him this week.
Sturgis was charged with obscenity and taken to the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center, where he was held without bond.
“Although we encourage interaction from the public on our Facebook, please note that this type of communication will not be tolerated,” the agency wrote on Facebook in announcing the arrest.
