Man Found Slumped Over In Vehicle With Gunshot, Suspect Accused Of Murder
A man was found shot and slumped over in a vehicle, now police say they have arrested the alleged killer.
Last week, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in Eunice, Louisiana.
Witnesses said a Black man wearing an orange shirt carried a gun and entered a white SUV, according to the sheriff’s office. Witnesses also said a victim, Clarence Mitchell, was found slumped over inside.
Mitchell was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound and later died, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators identified Leonard James Miller, 35, as the suspect. Police did not release a motive for the shooting.
Miller was charged with second-degree murder.
