Shooting At Louisiana Hotel Leaves One Dead, Suspect Arrested

Days after a man was shot to death at a hotel in Baton Rouge, police said they arrested a suspect in the case.
Around 11 a.m. on Dec. 14, police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, went to a hotel on Boardwalk Drive. There, they found Sedrick Lewis, 37, shot to death.
Police said a suspect shot Lewis after an altercation.
There was no word on what the shooting was over.
Recently, police identified the suspect as Maurice Mallory, 27, and he was arrested this week. Authorities charged him with second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm and illegal use of a weapon.
Police did not say if the two men knew each other before the deadly encounter.
