A Louisiana woman is behind bars after allegedly assaulting multiple victims, throwing a knife at another and then physically resisting officers during their investigation, according to authorities.
Around 4:30 p.m. on March 31, officers responded to a report of a “domestic disturbance involving a suspect with a dangerous weapon” at a home in DeQuincy, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Once at the scene, deputies learned Elizabeth Hext, 37, allegedly hit a juvenile victim and two elderly victims, officials said. Hext is also accused of striking a male victim inside the house and then throwing a knife at him.
The physical injuries suffered by the four alleged victims were consistent with their statements about what occurred during the incident, authorities said.
