Argument Over Stolen Beer Leads To Deadly Confrontation Between Guard, Customer And Finds One In Cuffs: police

A stolen can of beer led to an argument between a security guard and a customer, then a murder charge, according to a report.
Police in Louisville, Kentucky, were called to a gas station around 10 p.m. on June 12, according to WAVE 3.
The victim died at the scene, according to the report. The person’s name has not been released.

Police arrested Tavon Parrish, 31, at the scene. Parrish was an armed security guard, and the victim was a customer at the store, according to the report.
There was a confrontation between the two over a stolen can of beer, according to WAVE 3.
Parrish pulled his gun and pointed it at the victim, the report noted. He then fired because he believed the alleged thief wanted to fight him. A view of surveillance video and statements by witnesses led police to arrest the guard.
Parish was charged with murder and booked into an area jail.
