Man Accused Of Killing Two People In Separate Shootings, But Police Mum On Case Details

Two people were shot to death in Louisville and now police say they have arrested a suspect.
Last week, the Louisville Metro police announced the arrest of 32-year-old Maurice Gibson. He was charged with murder.
Around 2:45 p.m., on Sept. 10, police responded to 26th Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A short time later, police were called to nearby Cedar Street for another shooting. There, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they believed the shootings were related but did not offer further details.
The victims were identified as Lamont Smith and Alexis McCrary.
