His Alleged Plan To Steal Clothes From A Hotel Where Near Full Proof... Until The Victims Saw Him In Their Garments
This suspect was easy to spot.
A homeless man in Florida is accused of stealing a family’s luggage from a hotel, then wearing their clothes as he biked near the facility as the victims watched.
Mark Brienza was charged by Clearwater police this week in connection to the incident. Police said he found a luggage claim ticket and went to the hotel to claim it.
Then he wore clothes from the suitcase as he rode a bike near the hotel, according to WFLA.
Security cameras showed Brienza taking the luggage, according to the report. He was taken into custody and initially refused to tell police where the other items were.
But he later copped to its location and said he felt belt when he realized the items were for an entire family, WFLA report. Most of the stolen items were found, and Brienza apologized to the family.
Brienza was charged with grand theft and booked into jail.
