An Infant Died After Ingesting Benadryl, Cops Say. Now, A Dad Faces Murder Accusations

A dad in Las Vegas is accused of murder after his 5-month-old son died from an overdose, according to a report.
Last week, police in Las Vegas arrested Enrique Escobar, 26, in connection to the case, according to KLAS.
Joshua Escobar Garacia died from an overdose of Benadryl, according to the report.
Escobar was the child’s primary caregiver, and the infant could not have accessed the drug on his own, according to the report.
The child’s mother worked as Escobar stayed home and played video games, according to KLAS. The mom also said Escobar had previously called and asked her to calm the child because he was frustrated and could not do it.
On April 7, the child was found unresponsive, according to KLAS. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
This week, Escobar was charged with murder in connection to the child’s death. He is being held in jail without bail.
