Police say a Miami man is behind bars after he reportedly beat his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son for watching the children’s show “PAW Patrol.”

The incident took place on Dec. 26, 2022, at a home in Miami. A witness told police that 36-year-old Keyyun Bryant grabbed the boy “super hard” on his arm before telling him that the show was “for girls,” according to an arrest report obtained by WPLG.

During an interview with staff members at the University of Miami Child Protection Team, the victim said Bryant grabbed him on his right arm and “scratched” him and “wrapped both his hands around his neck and told him he was going to take him to jail,” the arrest report states.

The witness told authorities that Bryant came into the room while her and the victim were watching “PAW Patrol.” Bryant then grabbed the victim by the arm, neck and hit him in the back of the head because the victim was in the “girls room,” officials said.

Authorities recently located Bryant in Miami and he told detectives he would watch over the children while his girlfriend went to work.

Bryant denied harming the boy and he told police the child’s biological father has lodged false allegations against him in the past.
