A Florida man was found dead inside his home and police say a woman who lived at the home has been charged with his murder.
Around 7 p.m. on Aug. 27, the Pembroke Pines Police Department in Florida said officers found the man’s body inside a townhouse in the South Bridge community.
On the evening of Aug. 28, police confirmed they had arrested 57-year-old Michelle Gibb and she was charged with the man’s murder.
Officials said there was surveillance video from a Ring doorbell camera that showed Gibb calmly walking through the neighborhood.
Gibb lived at the home temporarily prior to the man’s death, authorities said.
While they were searching for Gibb, police said she was potentially mentally unstable and possibly armed.
Neighbors told 7News Miami they know Gibb and her husband as a friend of the family that lives at the townhouse.
“They’ve only been here a few days. They’re from out of town. They were just visiting, so no, it was quite a shock,” the neighbors said to 7News Miami.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin have been notified.
Gibb has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and is behind bars at the Broward County Jail, officials said.
Police have not said what led to the alleged murder.
