A man in New Hampshire fatally stabbed his ex-girlfriend inside a restaurant in 2019 after stalking her for months because he thought she got him fired from his job and now he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

As Front Page Detectives previously reported, 32-year-old Carlos Asencio was found guilty of first-degree murder and assault after stabbing 31-year-old Amanda Dabrowski repeatedly at O’Connor’s Restaurant & Bar in Worcester on July 3, 2019.

Asencio and Dabrowski both worked at Bristol Myers Squibb and started dating in December 2018. However, Dabrowski ended that relationship about three months later.

Asencio lost his job at the pharmaceutical company and then started to stalk Dabrowski since he believed it was the victim’s fault.

He became homeless and started tracking Dabrowski’s movements with a phone secured to her car as well as attacking Dabrowski with a stun gun after he broke into her home following their breakup.

On July 3, 2019, Asencio found Dabrowski at O’Connor’s Restaurant & Bar and approached her with a knife in each hand. He then proceeded to stab her nearly 60 times.

Asencio was arrested at the scene after patrons subdued him.

In addition to the murder count, Asencio was also found guilty of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in connection with a restaurant patron who suffered injuries after attempting to subdue the defendant.

On June 29, a judge sentenced Asencio to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Victoria Dabrowski, the victim’s sister, said during victim impact statements, "I hope you feel alone while you spend the rest of your life in prison. You're a liar, a manipulator, and you knew exactly what you were doing. You're a pathetic human being, taking the life of one who is so much more deserving than yours,” according to WCVB.

Asencio’s attorneys didn’t contest that he killed Dabrowski during the trial, but argued the killing was the result of mental illness that rendered him incapable of appreciating his actions.
