Seattle Man Allegedly High on PCP Blamed 'Demons' for Telling Him to Fatally Shoot 9-Month-Old Son: Police

A man in Seattle is facing murder charges after police claim he allegedly shot and killed his 9-month-old son while he was high on drugs.
Officers recently responded to the report of an infant shot at a home in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced the baby boy deceased.
Officers said they detained two people and brought them in for questioning regarding the child’s death.
The woman who phoned police about the deadly shooting said she heard gunshots in her home and confronted the suspect, identified as her 35-year-old husband, Dion Montgomery, according to reports obtained by KCPQ-TV.
Montgomery allegedly told his wife the shot was from a blank round, and he left the residence, police said.
According to the reports, Montgomery then allegedly shot at but missed two people walking down the street.
Montgomery's wife told officers she discovered the boy dead after he left the residence.
The wife also claimed to police she and Montgomery smoked marijuana that day, but she allegedly didn’t know that he admitted to using PCP as well, authorities alleged.

Officers wrote in the reports that Montgomery claimed to police that “demons” led him to shoot his son. According to then documents, the suspect's wife told investigators she tries to avoid him when he gets a “weird look in his eyes,” and she alleged he tried to kill her one time in the past.
Montgomery was arrested and charged with homicide, assault and unlawful use of a weapon, officials said.
