Man shoots and kills wife in North Carolina, calls 911 to turn himself in, police say

A North Carolina man shot and killed his wife, then called 911 to report the shooting and turn himself in, police said.
Around 7 p.m. on Jan. 8, police were dispatched to a call of a homicide in Greenville, North Carolina, the Greenville Police Department said.
According to authorities, 40-year-old Demetrius Montra Cooper called 911 and said he had shot and killed his wife, 44-year-old Amy Bland Roland, at their home.
Police went to the home and found Cooper outside of the house. However, he would not comply with verbal commands, so officers said they Tased him and arrested him without further incident.
Cooper was charged with an open count of murder and was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center, police said.
Officials said the case is still under investigation and no motive has been released.
