A Michigan man rammed into a car with his wife and kids inside and then police say he later assaulted his wife in front of their children.
During the evening of April 4, the 42-year-old man, whose identity is not being released to protect the victims, had a confrontation with his wife at a home in Antrim County, according to the Michigan State Police.
Officials said he “intentionally” drove his car into his wife’s vehicle multiple times while she and their children were inside.
Then later in the evening, the man assaulted his wife in front of their children, police said.
Authorities said the children ran next door to a family member’s home, but the man followed them.
However, the man then headed back home and kicked down his own door. He reportedly retrieved a gun and loaded it before going back to the relative’s home and aiming it at a person through the window, officials said.
Police said the suspect then “kicked in the door, pointed the gun at a man and threatened to kill him.”
However, the man was able to fight him off, wrestling him in order to point the gun away from himself.
