Horrific Moment Man Flung Wife Overboard On Ferry Caught On Camera: ‘Whispers’ Told Him To Do It

A man grabbed his wife and threw her off a ferry in Indonesia and the terrifying moment was caught on surveillance cameras, according to authorities.

In the shocking surveillance footage, which was released by local police, the man can be seen walking up behind his wife as she was packing a bag and throwing her over the edge of the ferry, The Sun reported.

In the CCTV clip, the husband appears to be lurking before he makes his move.

The couple can be seen walking over to some seats and the wife looks like she is getting ready to sit down.

The husband removes his wife's bag from her shoulder and then glances over at the ship’s railing.

He then suddenly picks her up in what appears to be almost a romantic gesture. The woman, however, can then be seen kicking her legs as he walks closer to the edge of the ship and then he allegedly can be seen throwing her over the railing.

The husband stands watching, slumped over the railing. Passengers on the ferry, which was traveling through the Sunda Strait, Indonesia, quickly swarmed to the railing to try and help pull up the woman, who somehow managed to cling to the side of the ship.

Ridho Rafika, head of the Bakauheni Port Police Sector, told The Sun the incident took place on the Shalem passenger ferry from Merak to Bakauheni and the woman survived after she held onto the railing's bars.

According to local police, the man’s family did not report the incident since he allegedly suffered from a suspected psychiatric disorder and was hearing “whispers” instructing him to throw his wife into the sea, The Sun reported.

The man is undergoing treatment, according to his family, but it is unclear if he was arrested in connection with the incident, according to The Sun.
