A man in Florida has been arrested after he allegedly met an underage girl on social media then kept her in his home and sexually assaulted her, according to authorities.
According to the North Port Police Department, David Bunn, 37, met the minor online and then used a ride-sharing service to bring the victim to his residence.
The victim failed to return home and police learned that she could be with Bunn.
Officers responded to his home in North Port. He initially told police that the girl wasn’t there, but officers eventually found her inside.
The victim told police she had been drugged and sexually assaulted, officials said. Bunn also reportedly wouldn’t let her leave his home.
On April 8, Bunn was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child, interfering with the custody of a minor and kidnapping, authorities said.
