Images, video showed suspect having sex with dogs, cops say. He also allegedly owned child porn.
A man faces a host of criminal charges, including accusations he had sex with dogs.
Last week, police in Frederick County, Maryland, announced the arrest of Jason Havelt, 42. He was charged with 16 counts, including child porn, weapons and animal cruelty.
In November, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office noted it received a tip of animal abuse with Havelt as the suspect. A USB given to the cops showed photos of Havelt performing sexual acts on dogs, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators took three cell phones from Havelt and found more images and videos of animal abuse, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives continued to search his electronic devices and found videos of child pornography, including acts with animals, according to the sheriff’s office.
Officers also found images of Havelt allegedly holding various guns. He is a previously convicted felon and barred from owning firearms.
