Maryland man accused of double homicide after police find two men dead in building
A Maryland man is accused of the double slaying of two men last month, authorities said.
Cambridge police arrested Charles “Trey” William Jones III, 35, of Vienna on Feb. 2 in connection to the double homicide of Cleon George Mullings, 35, and Kelvin Levert Wiggins, 42.
Just after midnight on Jan. 25, police responded to a building in Cambridge and found Mullings and Wiggins dead. Police believe the two know each other.
An autopsy determined both victims died from blunt force trauma.
At the time of his arrest, Jones was burning items in his backyard in Dorchester County, Maryland State Police said.
The suspect was charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and second-degree murder.
Police have not released a possible motive or further details in the case.
