The baby’s father, Rodriquez Holeman, admitted to police in an interview that he shook the infant when he was in sole care and custody of the child. That is when the injuries occurred, police said.

Police have not said what led Holeman to allegedly shake the baby.

Authorities arrested Holeman and he was charged with second-degree murder and first-degree child abuse resulting in death. Holeman is currently in jail and being held on a no-bond status, police said.
