A Maryland father admitted to shaking his 2-month-old son leading to the baby's death and now police said they charged the 31-year-old man with murder.
Prince George’s County Police said they responded to a home after a report of an unresponsive child.
That child, Rodriquez Holeman, Jr., 2-months-old, was rushed to a nearby hospital and died a short time later, cops said.
An autopsy was done on Rodriquez Jr. and it showed he died from head trauma with blunt force injury to the torso, authorities said.
The baby’s father, Rodriquez Holeman, admitted to police in an interview that he shook the infant when he was in sole care and custody of the child. That is when the injuries occurred, police said.
Police have not said what led Holeman to allegedly shake the baby.
Authorities arrested Holeman and he was charged with second-degree murder and first-degree child abuse resulting in death. Holeman is currently in jail and being held on a no-bond status, police said.
