T-Mobile employee brutally stabbed while working in a Maryland mall, suspect charged
A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing that happened at a Maryland mall, police said.
On Feb 21, Gaithersburg police and Montgomery County police responded to Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Maryland, for a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found Jose Alexander Maldonado, 23, with multiple stabbed wounds, according to Montgomery County police. Maldonado was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Investigators say Maldonado was working in a T-Mobile store when Trenton Flowers-Jackson entered and started to stab the victim.
Maldonado tried to escape but collapsed near the food court, authorities said.
Police identified Flowers-Jackson as the suspect and said the suspect and victim knew each other, according to Montgomery County police.
On Feb. 26, police arrested Flowers-Jackson and he was charged with first-degree murder. He is currently being held in jail.
