Man murdered during birthday party at Maryland firehouse, two suspects accused of murder
A 25-year-old man was murdered during a birthday party at a Maryland firehouse, and now two people face charges in connection to his death.
On June 20, Charles County police responded to the Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found Leon Nathaniel Inabinett with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators determined Inabinett was attending a birthday party at the station’s banquet hall, according to Charles County police. Two suspects approached him in the parking lot and shot him.
A tipster provided information to police about the shooters, which led officers to identify the suspects, according to police.
Late last week, officers arrested Ryan Lamont Bell, 34, and Jahad Karim Frierson, 23, in connection to the shooting. Both suspects were charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and other charges.
The duo is being held without bond at the Charles County Detention Center.
Police say the two suspects knew Inabinett before the parking lot encounter.
