Massachusetts Man Accused Of Murdering Missing Teen Whose Body Was Found In River
A man is accused of a teenager’s murder after the victim was discovered dead in Massachusetts.
On July 3, the body of a victim who appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound was fished from the Connecticut River in Chicopee, Western Mass News reported.
The victim was later identified as missing 18-year-old Elis Vizzcarrondo.
Investigators determined Vizzcarrondo was killed at a home in Holyhoke, and they obtained a warrant for the arrest of Elijah Melendez, 21, authorities said.
Melendez was taken into custody last week, and he was arraigned and ordered held without bail four days later for Vizzcarrondo’s murder.
Police have not released a motive motive in the case or said if the suspect knew the victim.
