A man told a group to get off his porch then started firing, leaving a teenager dead, police said.
Memphis police responded to a shooting around 3:45 a.m. on Feb. 14. The 15-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died, according to ABC 24.
The victim’s name has not been released.
A police affidavit said that friends of the victim told investigators they were standing outside an apartment, ABC 24 reported. That is when Marcus Orr, 38, came out and told them not to be on his porch.
Orr took out a gun and started shooting, according to the report.
Orr was charged with second-degree murder, three counts of attempted second-degree murder and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held in jail without bond.
