Police Found A Body In An Abandoned Building, That Is When The Suspect Said He Needed To Be Punished: Report
A man in Memphis told police that he taken a life and needed to be punished after a missing woman was found dead, according to a report.
Last week, police announced the arrest of Thomas Warren, according to Fox 13.
On May 12, police in Memphis, Tennessee, responded to an abandoned building. An off-duty cop told authorities that his uncle, Warren, said he put a woman’s body in the building, according to Fox 13.
The victim was identified as Yolanda Chambers, who had been missing since May 6.
Warren was detained and told police he had taken a life and needed to be punished, according to the report.
Investigators have not said if Warren knew the victim or how she was killed. Chambers was found facedown and covered with cardboard boxes, Fox 13 noted.
Warren now faces charges of second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. He is being held in Shelby County jail on $500,000 bond.
