2 dead, dozens hurt in mass shooting outside Miami area club, cops say
Two people were killed, and dozens were injured, in a mass shooting outside a Miami club early May 30.
The Magic Mushroom, 7630 NW 186 St., was hosting an event and several patrons were standing outside, according to Miami-Dade police. An SUV pulled up in front of the business and three suspects got out.
The suspects then shot indiscriminately into the crowd around 12:30 a.m., according to the police.
The three shooters fled the scene in a white Nissan Pathfinder SUV.
Miami-Dade fire crews arrived and determined two people were dead and eight people were taken to hospitals by ambulance. Another 12 people were taken by personal vehicles to hospitals, according to police.
One of the people taken to the hospital was in critical condition.
Police have not released any description of the suspect in the mass shooting.
Miami-Dade Police Department Director Alfredo Ramirez III sent out a tweet about the shooting from the scene.
“I am at the scene of another targeted and cowardly act of gun violence, where over 20 victims were shot and 2 have sadly died. These are cold blooded murderers that shot indiscriminately into a crowd and we will seek justice. My deepest condolences to the family of the victims,” it read.
