Three elderly victims found murdered in Michigan home, manhunt underway for alleged killer
Three elderly men in Michigan were found shot to death in their home, and a fourth man who was staying with the victims is now suspected of the murders, authorities said.
On Aug. 22, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Michigan State Police responded to a report of fatalities at the Grass Lake Township home, where they discovered the bodies of residents Delmar Eugene Fraley, 80, Edward John Kantzler, 70, and Michael George Pauli, also 70.
Law enforcement officials believe Zacharie Scott Borton, a 43-year-old man who was staying at the home, may have stolen Kantzler’s red 2006 Ford Explorer with the Michigan license plate EDH 1595 after the shooting and fled.
Police consider Borton a suspect in the triple homicide and advise he could be armed and dangerous.
According to the sheriff’s office, Borton is currently wanted by Grand Rapids Police for one count of felonious assault, and one count of discharging a firearm into a building.
