Woman murdered in her Michigan apartment in front of her son, boyfriend charged

A woman was murdered in front of her teenage son and now police in Michigan say they have arrested her boyfriend in connection to the case.
The suspect's name has not been released.
Around 4:30 a.m. July 5, Auburn Hills police were dispatched to an apartment in the 3500 block of Fountain Circle for a person that had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old woman who lived at the apartment with a single gunshot wound to her upper body, according to Auburn Hills police.
The victim was unresponsive, and she was immediately transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The victim’s boyfriend, a 32-year-old man from Rochester Hills, was in the apartment at the time of the shooting, along with the victim’s 13-year-old son, police say.
The boyfriend is currently in custody regarding the homicide, pending a review of the case by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, according to police.
