Two Teens Accused Of Murder In Shooting During Botched Robbery, Cops Say
A botched robbery left two people dead by a pond near a mobile home park and now a pair of teens face murder charges, police said.
Around 9 a.m. on May 21, police in White Lake Township, Michigan, responded to a pond and found two men dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victims were identified as Drake Mancuso, 16, and Cameron Duckworth, 20, according to police.
Investigators said Steven Morrow and Jesse Wright, both 18, devised a plan to rob Mancuso and Drake. They all drove to the mobile home park where they agreed to go to the woods near the pond.
There, Morrow took a pistol and shot the two victims, according to police.
The suspect then fled the area in a vehicle Wright drove. Last week, they were both charged with two counts of murder, two counts of armed robbery and four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Both suspects are being held in jail without bond.
