Michigan woman found dead in house fire, boyfriend charged with murder: police

A 35-year-old Michigan woman was found dead after a house fire and now police said her 27-year-old boyfriend was arrested on a murder charge.
According to authorities, Port Huron, Michigan, police and Port Huron Fire found the victim around 8 a.m. on May 29 after a house fire was reported.
The caller said there was smoke in the house and a charred body, authorities said.

Police said the victim’s name would not be released until an autopsy was finished and the victim is positively identified.
A search warrant was executed around 10:30 p.m. on May 29 at the boyfriend’s home, police said.
At the time of the fire, a suspect was taken to the Port Huron Police Department, interviewed and then lodged in the St. Clair County Intervention Center on a murder charge, according to MLive.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing and names will be released at a later time.
