Around 7 p.m. on July 29, officers were called to a report of a domestic assault in Becker, KNSI Radio reported.
At the scene, officers made contact with a woman who said Scott Henrickson fled the scene in her car with 2-year-old Liam Henrickson inside, officials said.
Per a court order, Henrickson was to have no contact with the child, KNSI reported.
Officials contacted the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and they issued an Amber Alert to help find the child.
Around 12:30 a.m. on July 30, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a homeowner in Baxter saying they saw lights on in a shed and movement inside, KNSI reported.
According to authorities, police set up a perimeter of the property and after an approximately three-and-a-half hour negotiation, Henrickson was arrested and Liam was found safe and the Amber Alert was canceled, officials said.
