A Minnesota Man Let an Old Friend Stay on His Property in a Camper. Then, He Wound Up Dead After Telling His Guest to Leave.
A Minnesota man was sentenced to nearly four decades in prison after he murdered his onetime friend.
On Oct. 2, 2019, J. Nicholas Cramer murdered Frank Gerald Meyer in the heat of a feud between the pair that had been escalating.
According to Bring Me the News, Meyer was found dead in his garage six days after he was shot multiple times, beaten and suffocated.
Court records show Meyer had been allowing Cramer and his wife to live in a camper on his property. However, shortly before the brutal murder, Meyer told the couple that they needed to go.
Investigators searched the Cramers’ camper and located multiple .22 caliber cartridge cases, which reportedly matched cases of the same caliber found outside Meyer’s garage.
Experts then analyzed the case and determined they were fired by the same weapon.
Investigators also took into evidence two bloody metal pipes found in the camper, which appeared consistent with the weapon used to cause the injuries to Meyer’s body.
