A possible road rage incident in Minnesota led to shots being fired and left one man dead, police said.
Around 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 29, the Saint Paul Police Department in Minnesota responded to a call on a report of shots being fired.
Once on the scene, police said they found a man believed to be in his late teens inside a vehicle.
The victim was breathing but unconscious and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, officials said.
Police rendered aid to the victim, Blake Richard Swanson until St. Paul Fire medics arrived and transported the victim to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
An investigation began by the police department’s homicide unit to help find the person or people responsible for the death, officials said.
Investigators said preliminary information shows the shooting may have been connected to a road rage incident, but it is unclear how the victim was involved in that incident.
At this time, no arrests have been made, as the shooting continues to be investigated.
