A missing man’s body was found in Mississippi and now police say the victim's son has been arrested and charged with murder.
On Sept. 10, the Biloxi Police Department said they found a dead man near Highway 603 in Bay St. Louis.
Officials said the body was found during a search effort for reported missing person Van L. Marske, 66, who was last seen on Sept. 4 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Police determined the dead man was and suspected foul play led to his death.
On Sept. 11, 41-year-old Noble V. Marske was arrested for the murder of his father, police said.
Authorities said an investigation into the disappearance of Van Marske and the discovery of his body helped them to determine Noble Marske was the alleged suspect.
Police have not detailed how or possibly why the son killed his father.
Noble Marske was arrested and charged with first-degree murder by the Biloxi Police Department, officials said.
He was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center with a $1 million bond imposed, authorities said.
