Victim Punched More Than 40 Times, Had Face Stomped On In Deadly Bar Fight: Report
A man was punched more than 40 times in the head and had his face stomped on in a deadly bar fight, police said. Now, authorities have charged a suspect with murder in the case.
This week police in Tupelo, Mississippi, announced they charged Timothy Albert Turner, 37, with first-degree murder in connection to the death of Leonard Cooper.
Around 1:30 a.m. on April 16, Tupelo police were called to Steel’s Dive for a reported assault. When police arrived, they found Cooper being treated by EMS.
Cooper was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died hours later, according to Tupelo police.

According to Magnolia State Live, video surveillance showed the suspect knocking Cooper to the ground, punching him in the head more than 40 times, slamming his head on the concrete and stopping on his face.
Police initially arrested Turner on a charge of aggravated assault
But that was upgraded to the murder after Cooper’s death. Turner is being held in jail without bond.
