Mississippi Man In Hot Sauce After Police Say He Hid Gun In Taco Bell Quesadilla During Traffic Stop

A Mississippi man was arrested after police discovered a gun in his Taco Bell order during a routine traffic stop, according to authorities.
Around 12:40 p.m. on April 14, police stopped a car for allegedly violating a traffic law in Picayune, according to the Picayune Police Department.
Officers pulled over the driver Olivia Neff, who was in the vehicle with passenger Devin Mitchell, police said.
During the traffic stop, officers said they had probable cause to search the vehicle and found a “distribution amount” of meth, liquid heroin and other drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
Officers also discovered Mitchell’s handgun inside a quesadilla in a Taco Bell bag.
Mitchell was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of paraphernalia.

He was booked into the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice Center and remains in custody.
Neff was cited for disregard for a traffic device and was released at the scene, officers said.
