Missouri Man Sent Nude Photos To 14-Year-Old Foster Girl He Sexually Abused, Impregnated, Officials Say

A man in Missouri has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a minor girl over the course of years and impregnating her when she was only 14 years old, according to authorities.

On March 28, Edward Wiseman, 43, pleaded guilty to coercion and enticement of a minor and solicitation of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri announced.

Wiseman admitted to investigators that he sexually abused the child. After she was placed in foster care, he “sent her naked pictures of himself” and requested the girl to do the same, officials said.

According to authorities, Wiseman first lied about raping the victim and getting her pregnant.

During the investigation, the victim’s younger sister reportedly came forward and accused Wiseman of sexually abusing her as well. Wiseman has denied these allegations.

Authorities searched Wiseman’s phone and found child pornography on the device.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 4, officials said. He faces anywhere from 10 years to life in prison for the coercion charge. He faces at least five years and up to 20 years for the child pornography charge.

Officials said Wiseman is also facing statutory rape and statutory sodomy charges in St. Louis County Circuit Court.
