Two people were found dead in the yard of their Missouri home and police say a suspect is in custody in connection to the double murder.
Osage County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of two people laying in their yard in Chamois, Missouri, around noon on July 24, according to KRCG.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they quickly determined the two individuals were deceased, KRCG reported. The victims were identified as Leonard Gerloff, 59, and Pauline Gerloff, 56, according to KRCG.
Evidence led police to identify Warren Taylor, 62, as a suspect, and he was arrested around 10 p.m.
A Chamois, Missouri, man who asked not to be named told KRCG that Taylor and his girlfriend Jeannie-Ann Hawkins allegedly had an argument with the Gerloffs before the shooting.
Taylor has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action, KRCG reported.
Taylor is being held at the Osage County Jail without bond, according to KRCG.
