28-Year-Old, Teenager Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting In Rural Missouri
A man and teen face murder charges in connection to a fatal shooting, police in Missouri said.
On April 17, Deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in rural Warrensburg, Missouri, for a report of multiple gunshots.
When deputies arrived, they found a 47-year-old man dead with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim was identified as Clifford Heffele.
A second victim was also shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
This week, deputies announced they arrested Brandon L. Nodine, 28, in connection to the case. He was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree burglary and other counts. He is being held without bond.
A teenage suspect was also arrested and charged with first-degree murder. The 17-year-old is in juvenile custody, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators have not said how they identified the suspects in the shooting.
