Man Beat, Stomped, Stabbed His Wife To Death, Cops Say. Then He Doused The Home In Gas With 2 Kids Inside.

A man in Missouri is accused of beating, stomping and then stabbing his wife to death, police said.
Around 4:20 a.m. on Sept. 4, police in Hazelwood, Missouri, responded to a home for a dead woman.
When police arrived, they found two children and an adult woman. The victim, whose name has not been released, was the victim of a homicide, police said.
Police identified her husband, Gregory Smith III, as the suspect, but he fled the scene.
Investigators said that Smith beat, stomped and stabbed his wife to death. Then he doused the home in gasoline with the children inside. The alleged homicide was described as domestic violence.
Police asked for the public’s help finding Smith. The next day he was arrested. Smith faces several charges, including first-degree murder.
